Four years have passed since the death of İpek Er, who was raped by Specialized Sergeant Musa Orhan. Orhan's sentence is pending at the Court of Cassation.
Women in India, who have been protesting the murder of a woman after she was raped for days, reacted to the attacks by holding a banner reading “Jin, jiyan, azadi”.
In a statement on Afghan women resisting against the Taliban regime, TJA said: “We defend and embrace their struggle for freedom for more than 40 years. Despite the borders imposed by nation state fascism, we will continue to say 'jin, jiyan, azadi' together wherever our voices reach.”

Elif Ege from Mor Çatı (Purple Roof) said that in the report they submitted to the UN, they described the discrimination and racism experienced by migrant women and added: “Violence against women cannot be prevented unless gender equality is achieved.”
ICAVI Founder Rouhi Shafii pointed out that women's struggles are targeted with death sentences in Iran and said: “People forget what happened quickly. When we raise our voices, they support us, but when our struggle is silenced, they remain silent.”
Stating that the amendments to the "Personal Status Law" in Iraq are an attack on women's rights, TAJÊ said: "This law must be abolished without any changes. We call on all institutions and organizations fighting for the rights of women and children in Iraq to raise their voices against it."
Drawing attention to the KDP's pressure and threats against the Yazidis, TJA called on the KDP to immediately give up the dirty game its playing against the Yazidis.
Journalists Nilüfer Hamedi and Elaha Mohammadi, who are being held in Iran, have been sentenced to 6 years in prison each.
Nevroz Uysal Aslan from DEM Party, one of the women who paid a condolence visit to the family of murdered Pınar Bayrak, said: "We are not helpless. We are neither obliged to the family nor to men."
Behiye Sevim, one of the mothers resisting the isolation that has spread from İmralı to all prisons, said: "We want a life under equal conditions. As long as the isolation is not abolished, we will be on the streets."
