Threat to US: Close the Strait of Hormuz

NEWS CENTER - Hossein Shariatmadari, one of the leading advisors of Iran's religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made an open threat to the US and called for the closure of the STrait of Hormuz.

Hossein Shariatmadari, editor-in-chief of the Kayhan newspaper, known for its conservative line, and who previously described himself as the "representative" of Ayatollah Khamenei, used the following statements in his message published on Telegram: "After the American attack on the Fordo nuclear facility, it is now our turn. Without any hesitation or delay, as a first step, we must launch missile attacks on the American naval fleet stationed in Bahrain and simultaneously close the Strait of Hormuz to American, British, German and French ships."
 
Khamenei is expected to make a public statement in response to the US attacks. However, it is reported that Khamenei is currently in a bunker, all electronic communication has been cut off against the risk of assassination, and communication with him is extremely limited and difficult.
