After 43 months of isolation imposed on Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, he first met with his nephew and Peoples’ Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party MP Ömer Öcalan on 23 October 2024.

In the meeting Abdullah Öcalan said, “Isolation continues. If conditions are right, I have the theoretical and practical power to move this process from the ground of conflict and violence to the legal and political ground.” Then he held 3 meetings with the İmralı Delegation formed by the DEM Party.

After 27 February meeting, the delegation shared “Call for Peace and Democratic Society” of Abdullah Öcalan with the public.
