Journalist called in for a statement by the police for writing about coronavirus

	VAN - Journalist Oktay Candemir was called in to give a statement at the police station for the reports he wrote on coronavirus and quarantine.

	 

	Journalist Oktay Candemir was summoned for testimony due to his reports on the world-threatening coronavirus (Kovid-19). A new investigation was launched against Candemir whom the Van Security Directorate and the prosecutor's office starts an investigation about after almost all natural disasters, epidemics and sociak incidents, this time for his reports on the virus and the quarantine.

	 

	Candemir who is currently being tried for insulting the president, have been summoned to the police station 40 times in the last four years for varios reasons and 25 law suits were filed about him. Candemir, whose house was raided by the police 3 times, have been on judicial control for the last 2 years. Candemir was also held in Kandıra and Silivri prisons for a year in his 18 years of journalism.
